The BCR employee, a responsible citizen
BCR employees are encouraged to be responsible citizens in the communities they are part of. They enjoy a day off for volunteering/year, they are aided in proposing and implementing social projects with real social impact, and are encouraged to redirect 2% of their income tax to organizations aimed at social welfare.
An example of an employees' project is the internal project "ÃmpreunÄ putem ajuta victimele inundaÅ£iilor" ("Together we can help the flood victims"), whereby employees have mobilized donating in 2010 and 2014 more than RON 15,000 to the Romanian Red Cross, Save the Children or Habitat for Humanity (the amount was doubled by the bank), donating items that have been transported by them in some of the affected locations.
