I would like to salute the involvement of the largest commercial bank in Romania in a project devoted to the young, which is that category of persons needing the strongest support right now. I truly believe that their performance, their advertising opportunities and the projects that they will develop with the the municipality of the European Youth Capital, this partnership will make a significant contribution to improve the visibility of Cluj, of Romania, as well as to developing the youth sectors“, the mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Mr. Emil Boc, declared.

“It is my utmost pleasure to see that, to a transnational economic partner, multiculturalism and multilinguism are not just normal phenomena, but also resources, which is something that I want for Cluj-Napoca, too. Apart from the financial assistance, we are enjoying an extraordinary support in terms of creative and innovative projects”, the vice-mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Ms. Anna Horvath, also said.

BCR’s input will consist of financially supporting the projects developed by the project sponsors in order to promote nationally and internationally the “CLUJ-NAPOCA 2015, the European Youth Capital” programme, as well as to support the development of certain own projects.

That is why supporting them, encouraging them and promoting them is so much important. BCR’s position as “official bank” of “Cluj-Napoca - European Youth Capital 2015” programme honours us, but also obliges us to invest and to reward the confidence which is extended to BCR”.

As part of this partnership, BCR will also be support the academic excellence by means of partnerships with the largest higher education institutions in Cluj-Napoca, in order to develop some projects aimed at improving the employability of young people.

In Cluj-Napoca and everywhere in Romania, BCR invests in values and in the conviction that we prove how powerful we are in Europe. Cluj-Napoca - European Youth Capital 2015 is a social innovation cluster from all points of view, a cultural model which I believe we could export successfully.”

  3. Run special projects in the main university centres in Romania;
  4. International promotion - through the subsidiaries of the banks that are part of the Erste Group;
