One year ago, BCR  and SAI Erste Asset Management SA launched a new investment concept: YOU INVEST focuses on people’s life style, desires and needs. It is an investment solution that addresses concrete needs and objectives set by investors.

Furthermore, YOU INVEST is a simple, transparent and flexible product. The investment solution focuses on stable yields and low volatility via active management. There are three types of risks (low, average, high).

We are glad that our customers showed interest in YOU INVEST. The amount of managed assets on 15 May 2015 exceeded EUR 75 million, and our customers invest on a daily basis.

Such a success is largely owing to the sales force consisting of the advisers of the Affluent and Private Banking segments within BCR who promoted YOU INVEST funds among customers. More than 200 advisors were trained during this period. As regards investors’ age, the youngest investor in YOU INVEST funds is 8 years old, and the eldest investor is 92 years old.

The interest in funds whose portfolio includes shares (ERSTE Balanced RON, ERSTE Equity ROMANIA and YOU INVEST range) is growing,  as testified by the sales made in these funds since the beginning of the year, which reached 47% of the total net sales made until 29 May 2015. As regards the currency of the fund in which our investors invest, over 70% of the net sales since the beginning of the year were made in funds denominated in EUR.

The sales in YOU INVEST are balanced both in terms of their distribution by the 3 risk profiles (Solid and Balanced, with approx. 35-40%, and Active, with approx. 20-25%), and in terms of funds’ denomination currency, i.e. RON and EUR. The YOU INVEST range was launched simultaneously in all the countries where Erste Asset Management group operates,  i.e. Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Croatia. The total sales in YOU INVEST funds at group level was EUR 1.25 billion.

On 15 April, SAI Erste Asset Management SA reached the threshold of RON 9 billion assets managed via individual funds and portfolios and holds over 40% of the open investment funds market share, according to the latest data published by AAF (The Romanian Association of Investment Fund Managers) (www.aaf.ro). With over 137,000 investors in funds, the company manages a large range of open investment funds denominated in RON and EUR, consisting of ERSTE Money Market RON, ERSTE Bond Flexible RON, ERSTE Bond Flexible ROMANIA EUR, ERSTE Balanced RON, ERSTE Equity ROMANIA and YOU INVEST range.
