• Farmers are provided with the support of the largest bank in Romania, Banca Comercială Română, in order to obtain the financing necessary for agricultural works
  • BCR has signed collaboration agreements with APIA and the Guarantee Funds in order to finance agricultural activities, in the 2016 campaign
  • Agricultural producers self-employed persons or companies in this field may thus obtain up to 90% financing from the value of the subsidies they will receive from APIA

Banca Comercială Română (BCR) has signed tripartite agreements with the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) and the Guarantee Funds in order to finance the working capital, so that the beneficiaries of the support schemes may carry out their current activities in the agricultural sector, during this year’s campaign.

Agricultural producers – self-employed persons or legal entities – are thus provided with the infrastructure and support of the largest bank in Romania - BCR, in order to obtain short-term and low-cost financing facilities. BCR offers working capital for up to 90% of the value of subsidies that farmers will receive from APIA, within the Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS), Redistributive Payments, Payments for Environment-and-Climate-Friendly Agricultural Practices, as well as within the Rural Development Compensatory Measures applying to agricultural land.

Developing the agriculture and supporting the farmers are one of the priorities of BCR in our involvement and support policies for the public sector. The farmers will rediscover us as a trusty and prompt partner, capable of completing their financing documents for agricultural works in a timely manner. The beneficiaries have our entire national network at their disposal in order to be able to submit their applications and to access the necessary capital for the 2016 agricultural campaign- Ioana Gheorghiade, Infrastructure Financing and Public Sector Manager at BCR.

Farmers who are eligible for APIA subsidies may contact any office in the BCR network in order to access these types of financing facilities, based on the Farmer Registration Certificate issued by APIA. This document confirms that the administrative verifications of the submitted single area payment request have been performed, and that the beneficiaries meet the general conditions for receiving the rightful amounts.
