·       The investment credit was granted to S.C. Romcarton S.A., one of the most important cardboard package producers from Romania

·       The new factory shall be built in Popesti-Leordeni, in accordance with next generation standards, based on a total investment of EUR 27.5 million 

Bucharest, 17 May 2017 – Romcarton S.A., a company member of Rossmann Group, one of the European leaders in manufacturing corrugated cardboard packages, has contracted from Banca Comerciala Romana an investment credit in amount of EUR 23.4 million.

The credit facility was approved in the beginning of March and it is used to build a corrugated cardboard factory in Popesti-Leordeni, Ilfov County, which shall occupy 3.4 hectares. The project shall be completed until the end of 2017, the total investment amounting EUR 27.5 million.

Romcarton S.A. is the first producer of corrugated cardboard packages from Romania, with an experience of almost 30 years in the industry, and the clients of the company are from the food and daily consumer goods industry. The company is part of Rossmann European Group, which also holds in Romania Ambro Factory from Suceava. At global level, Rossmann operates 25 factories, of which 22 in Europe and 3 in Africa, with a production capacity of 500,000 tons of corrugated cardboard and 300,000 tons of paper.
