• The number of clients, natural persons, who use Mobile Banking and Internet Banking services provided by BCR has significantly increased during the last year and exponentially during the last four years
  • In 2017, BCR has attracted, on average, 10,000 new Mobile Banking users per month, and at the end of 2016, it recorded an annual increase of over 150% of active clients 

Bucharest, 18 May 2017 – The digital services of BCR have recorded consistent increase of the number of users due to the investments made by the bank on this segment, both in developing the products and in educating the employees and clients.

“If in 2013, one year after we have launched Mobile Banking service, we had 10,000 active clients, this year we have recorded an increase of 10,000 active clients per month. It is a direct result of the resources that we allocate for our digital services. 

We currently have a community of 2,400 BCR employees referred to as the League of Digital Experts, who act at central level and in the unit network as ambassadors of digital services. Practically, we are talking about one third of BCR employees, who have undertaken the promotion and provision of support in digitalization among both our employees and clients”, said Marian Ignat, Digital Banking CEO within BCR.

 

Currently, 99% of BCR employees are active users of the digital services of the bank. Also, Mobile Banking application of BCR have recorded over 250,000 downloads in 2017, over three times more downloads than in 2014.
