Bucharest, 21 July 2017 – The Supervisory Board of BCR Banca pentru Locuinte has appointed Arion Negrila to the position of Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board of BCR Banca pentru Locuinte, subject to regulatory approval. He replaces Erwin Bernhard, whose mandate has come to a final.
Most recently, Arion Negrila was Senior Executive Director – Risk within BCR Group, in charge with managing Basel III / IRB Program implementation, recovery and resolution related activities as well as supporting the preparation of the BCR Group Risk Management Strategy. In his new position he will keep responsibilities for recovery and resolution related activities at BCR Group level and Basel III / IRB Program implementation.
Arion Negrila has over 20 years of banking experience within the BCR Group, out of which 13 years on management positions, counting a solid career span in strategic risk management, portfolio analysis and risk reporting, ratings and risk parameters, lending regulation, capital management as well as regulatory governance. He also holds a Ph.D. in Management of banking risks at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and is a Lecturer in the Romanian Banking Institute on risk management, BNR and European risk regulations, internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP).
