An IRSOP Market Research & Consulting analysis made for the Romanian Banking Association for Housing (ABDLR) reported on a higher density among young clients (18 – 34 years). There are cases in which, in a two or three bedroom apartment live together three generations”, declared Lucian Anghel, the president of BCR Banca pentru Locuinţe.

The analysis made by IRSOP Market Research & Consulting was conducted on data collected from 1.040 clients of the two banks of savings and crediting who saved for 5 years, but they have not requested a credit up to the present.
“Any person who has problems with their homes is at risk. Our studies indicate that poor families, with an income below the national average per household, hold a larger proportion of the housing problems than families with above-average income. Therefore, they live in difficult conditions and they have fewer resources to improve their housing quality”, said Professor Petre Datculescu.
Recently, EFdeN (The Research Center for Comfort Conditions) released The Comfort Conditions Guide, with the support of BCR Banca Pentru Locuinţe (BCR BpL), whose purpose is to improve housing quality in Romania, comfort being defined as the status of good physical and mental mood, due to external influence, which can be of multiple kinds; however, the satisfaction as regards the inside environment is a subjective notion that depends on the physiology of each person. Buildings that are quite poor from the point of view of one or several comfort categories (thermal comfort, air quality, acoustic comfort, visual comfort) are quite frequent and in many cases we can talk about cases of Sick-Building-Syndrome.
