BCR Express Customs

Service destined for legal person customers performing import-export activities, with the aim to notify customs about the settlement of customs duties through the use of informational means, eliminating the need for a confirmation of payment, for the purpose of obtaining a customs clearance from the customs authority.

  • simplifies the work procedure between the customers and the National Customs Authority, since it allows for an automated forwarding of information with full speed and accuracy
  • significantly reduces the time allocated by customers having import/export activities to customs operations
  • provides the option to perform payments to the benefit of customs offices in other places, an activity which, until now, required a representative of the customer to travel to the place where the relevant customs office was located

Description

Customers can benefit from this service both for payments initiated on paper and for payments initiated through electronic or Internet banking.

Once the payment is processed, BCR forwards the electronic confirmation of payment to the customs offices regarding the Payment Order sent to the State Treasury on paper, which represents the proof required to grant the customs clearance for the goods destined for import or export.

To activate the product, the customer signs the "Agreement concerning the electronic settlement of customs duty", which goes into force 7 working days after it has been signed by both parties. This agreement will include the manner in which the payments are initiated (on paper or electronically) and the list of customs offices for which the electronic settlement of customs duty is requested.
