Bucharest, April 13, 2016 – Banca Comercială Română (BCR) finalized the negotiations and signed, beginning of April 2016, a lease contract, with real estate developer Forte Partners for the consolidation of part of its headquarters to THE BRIDGE building, the newest business park, located in Grozăvesti-Orhideea area.
Selecting the most appropriate consolidation solution was the result of a complex analysis of the existing real estate market offers, adressing the needs of BCR, which is currently located in 15 central buildings. This stage began more than one year ago and it was done with the excellent support and expertize of Knight Frank Romania and with the legal support of NNDKP.
As a result of this analysis, the BCR Management Board decided to consolidate the functions of its headquarter (the bank and its subsidiaries) in two locations, which means that part of its Head Office functions will continue their activities in the Bucharest Financial Plaza (BFP) building from Calea Victoriei, while the other part will be relocated to THE BRIDGE.
“It was a long and difficult process and we are very happy we progressed with the consolidation of our Head Office functions. With the strong support of Knight Frank Romania, we found in FORTE a reliable partner with a very good track record and we cannot wait to move in. The new space and facilities are meant to connect employees and encourage a communication and sharing culture. The partners and clients of BCR will discover a new ‘face” of the Bank when visiting us for business. We intend to implement a new way of working according to modern office space standards“ stated Adriana Jankovicova, CFO of BCR.
“We are honored that BCR chose to consolidate its business headquarters at THE BRIDGE. For us, this transaction is a confirmation of our efforts to generate value through design and efficiency.”, stated Geo Mărgescu, CEO & Founder, Forte Partners.
THE BRIDGE development is estimated to be completed by September 2017.
